XigmaNAS is an open-source network-attached storage (NAS) operating system that runs on a variety of hardware platforms. It is based on FreeBSD and is designed to be easy to use and manage, even for those who are not familiar with NAS systems. XigmaNAS supports a wide range of storage protocols, including NFS, SMB, AFP, and iSCSI, and it can be used to create both file servers and block storage devices. It can also be configured as a backup server, a media server, or a virtual machine host.

XigmaNAS is available as a free download for Windows and Mac. The Windows version can be installed on any computer that is running Windows XP or later, while the Mac version can be installed on any computer that is running Mac OS X 10.6 or later. Plugins like Plexserver, OBI etc are also available. Everything can easy be managed by a configurable webinterface.
